1.8 km (1 mile) from the farm, if you take a small country road and then head through the pinewoods, you will find both a free beach and a bathing area equipped with sun beds, beach umbrellas, bar, restaurant, a facility for storing windsurf equipment and taking lessons and much more. For this reason it is a great idea to rent bikes to reach the sea.

The Etruscan coast is an explosion of colours; the green of the hills, woods and pine forests, the red of the earth and brickwork of the medieval villages, but above all the emerald green of the sea. ....most of all by the diversity of the coastline which ranges from enchanting cliffs and rocky shores to small beaches protected by the welcoming pinewoods.
South of Livorno, between Antignano and Castiglioncello and between the Baratti Gulf and Piombino, there are a series of picturesque cliffs of pink granite, softened and sculpted by the waves and wind, which, over the centuries, have created beautiful soft pebble beaches.

From Rosignano to Vada and from Bibbona to San Vincenzo there are long beaches of fine sand, one of the most famous being Rosignano Solvay with its white, sandy beaches and shallow sea water; making it a perfect place for children. South from Vada passing Cecina down to Piombino, the coastline is lined with green vegetation. This is dominated by the century old pinewoods which offer peace and a cool refuge from the heat, equipped with picnic areas and training courses.

On this part of the coastline you'll find places of interest like the WWF oasis in Bolgheri, Rimigliano Park a green oasis along the San Vincenzo beach; the Macchia della Magona, biogenetic reserve and splendid example of Mediterranean vegetation; the WWF oasis Orti-Bottagone, a rare example of marsh flora and fauna. And finally the Baratti Gulf, one of the most spectacular places in Tuscany where the Etruscans built the only necropolis that faces the sea. The ruins can still be visited today in the picturesque Archeological park. The unforgettable view from the Populonia castle dominates the entire gulf.

Daily excursions to the two precious pearls of the Tuscan archipelago; the nearby islands of Elba and Capraia, will be an unforgettable experience. The first is famous for its wonderful beaches, gulfs, crystal clear water, the flourishing Mediterranean vegetation, the typically Tuscan harbours, where fishing boats, market stalls, boutiques and famous locations draw in a mix of tourists of all ages.
